Family Counseling

Families shift and change as kids grow, parents get older and the world changes around you. Sometimes tensions grow within the family, and it’s important for the family unit to adjust to these changes. In family counseling we look at relationship patterns and healthy ways to communicate.

The teen years offer opportunity for growth and influence, but are often faced with challenges of finding where they want to fit in. Other challenges adolescents face are peer pressure, self-esteem, family dynamics, social isolation, bullying, sexual identity, school/sport pressure alcohol and drugs to name a few. Therapy offers teens the chance to connect to their emotions in a safe place, as well as develop healthy coping skills. Therapy from a collaborative approach helps teens to feel supported and understood.
